Jewish Studies Courses
Note: To set up an advising appointment, please contact Professor Matt Goldish. The Melton Center helps to coordinate a large number of undergraduate and graduate courses at Ohio State. Each year faculty in affiliated departments offer courses that emphasize various aspects of Jewish studies, as well as Hebrew and Yiddish language and literature. In addition, the Center offers a basic introductory course in Jewish Studies. Interdisciplinary courses are occasionally offered. Undergraduates can major or minor in Jewish Studies, Hebrew, and Yiddish, as well as focus on Jewish topics in Comparative Studies, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science and Womens Studies.Click for Jewish Studies Courses
Undergraduate Major
Students can develop a comprehensive and well-rounded interdisciplinary major in Jewish studies. This is a 50-hour major.Click for Undergraduate Major Requirements
The Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Minor
This allows students to complement courses in their own majors with a minor program in Jewish studies. The minor program consists of no fewer than 25 credit hours.Click for Undergraduate Minor Requirements
