In this session we will look at ways poets talk about the land of Israel in poetry and song. From biblical to modern times, poets and songwriters in both the East and the West have written and sung odes to Israel. I will look at some of the different ways these poets, throughout the centuries and across the world, interact with the land, and how they express their feelings in poetry and songs.
This program is made possible by the Columbus Jewish Youth Foundation of the Columbus Jewish Foundation and presented in partnership with Creekside at the Village at Wexner Heritage Village.
