Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Community Text Study Program

Join our Community Text Study Program

Meetings twice a month September through April

The Melton Center’s community text study program offers participants the opportunity to study Jewish topics from an academic perspective. The sessions are held twice a month on Zoom during the academic year, are 1.5 hours long, and are led by our faculty.

Last year we studied a range of topics that included: historical approaches to Italian Jewish humanists in the Renaissance; medieval Jewish perspectives on the bible as literature and the Israel-Hamas War, to name a few.

There are short reading assignments before each session, and there is no cost to join.
