Dear friends,
This issue of the Melton Center Annual Report went to press before we woke up on October 7 to the atrocities committed by Hamas against a civilian population on Israeli soil.
Israel has now responded to this assault, and a war has ensued. A related conflict has also begun outside Israel and on the Internet in a war of words.
Melton Center faculty have been speaking publicly about the situation, discussing the events in their classrooms,
and participating in University programs aimed at informing a wider population.
As we pursue our work in Jewish Studies at Ohio State, we continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East and provide resources to our faculty, staff, and students.
