Join Our Community Text Study Program
The Melton Center’s Community Text Study program offers participants the opportunity to study Jewish topics from an academic perspective. The sessions, held twice a month on Zoom during the academic year, are ninety minutes long and led by our faculty.
This past year we studied a range of topics that included historical approaches to Italian Jewish communities in the Renaissance; the meanings of the phrase “The Holy Land”; anti-Judaism in the ancient world; contemporary Middle East politics; Israeli folk dance; and histories of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
What makes the program unique is lively discussion. There are short reading assignments before each session and there is no cost to join.
