Join the Melton Center for Jewish Studies for a work-in-progress reading by Writer-in-Residence Lucia Mann. During this special presentation, Mann will share a new short story, “The Carpet,” which explores contemporary German society and cultural memory.
A screenwriter, playwright, and novelist originally from Berlin, Lucia Mann has written two prime-time films, including Ein Sommer in Prag. She is also the author of the play The Astronaut, which premiered in New York City in 2023, and co-author of Kafka a Kavka (Pinkbox, 2026), a children's book about Franz Kafka. Mann is currently working on a campus novel and a collection of short stories.
