The Melton Center for Jewish Studies, School of Music, and Columbus Jewish Community Center present Yamma Ensemble live in concert.
World-renowned Yamma Ensemble's music is rare and esoteric, performed using ancient instruments (duduk, ney, kopuz, oud, shofar). Their music includes various Jewish diasporas and songs of the Jewish communities from Yemen, Babylon, and Sepharad, as well as Hasidic music. The fascinating forms and rhythms of their music creates the feeling of ancient times, with a strong sense of spiritualism, heritage & tradition.
